Hamm Seismograph: Real-time Display of Structure-borne Swings
Hamm Seismograph is an iPhone app developed by i-NOVATiON GmbH. This utility and tools app is designed to display structure-borne swings, similar to a seismometer for earthquakes. It is particularly useful in the surrounding areas of jobsites where structure-borne swings caused by construction machinery are common.
The app visualizes the much lower swing-load of compaction with Oscillation as compared to vibration. It allows for real-time display of the swings, with the option to select the presentation mode in the X-, Y-, and Z-directions simultaneously or individually. The app also offers the ability to adjust the line width for the diagram and freeze the diagram with start-stop functionality. Additionally, Hamm Seismograph supports Airplay and has good display clarity even under sunlight conditions.
It is important to note that the app does not provide numerical output of the data collected. Furthermore, all data processing is done locally on the user's device, ensuring that the developer, i-NOVATiON GmbH, does not have access to this data.
